December 2012 was our big trip to NZ, Dave and I got to use our passports and we met my parents there.
One highlight was staying at a variety of accommodations. The first night we did a home stay with a sweet family of five. We got to help feed the lambs and other animals after breakfast, enjoyed stretching our legs and it was so quiet, and beautiful with rolling green hills all around us. Found this place and a couple others at airbnb.com - and recommend it to get off the beaten path :)
We really liked this high chair, but it was too expensive to ship it home for baby. The bump is just starting. :)
We got to tell my parents in person that we're expecting a little one summer 2013!
We drove around the south island - these rocks are called the Moeraki boulders.
Out on the Otago Peninsula - looking for penguins, albatross, seals, and other birds. No penguins :(
Of course, we ate well :)
the only castle in NZ - Larnach Castle with lots of Alice in Wonderland touches to it.
