Thanks mom and dad for the B&B night away!! This was close to my birthday and my husband knew I wanted a "good breakfast" :) we spent the weekend in Colorado Springs, relaxing, watched a movie(someone lit up a joint in the theater - crazy Colorado), had desssert at the Melting pot, Cracker barrel to make a pregnant woman happy!

We spent the day at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and had a great time! I was really impressed by the variety of animals and the beautiful location!!

oh monday.

27 weeks and 2 days pregnant.

today I walked into work to have 17 messages. to hear about kids too young being put on mental health holds. kids too young that are getting tickets for breaking the law. kids too young to have experienced too much loss. 2 court hearings - that mostly went ok. I threw up only once, today. it just felt like too much, not just for a monday but anyday.

But yesterday was sweet, relaxed, full of sweet family and good food. Baby "Shamgar" got his first Easter treats from his grandma and grandpa.

Last weekend we had a great weekend in Estes Park for the Harkless ladies it was fabulous! These ladies are beautiful!

25 weeks

So our baby boy is the size of a rutabaga (turnip)? He's moving more and more, Dave got to feel him moving a couple weeks ago which was fun.  I'm barely sick these days - yippee!

Dave has been working hard on getting our nursery painted- we're not done yet, but getting close :)
In other news - Dave is starting a new business - interested in losing weight and winning money - call him about it - 924 fitness.

We just celebrated our March 15th anniversary - 2 years since he asked me to marry him, 11 years since round 1 of dating. It's been an adventure for sure!

Work is keeping me on my toes, with moving 4 little girls into their adoptive home, kids running away, ER visits, and all the excitement being a caseworker entails. Makes me hope that being sleep deprived with a baby is more calm than the past couple weeks have been.

Looking forward to a weekend with sweet ladies next weekend for a little getaway in Estes park!

gender reveal and bedrest

So we went to the dr and came home for the exciting news of the gender of our little one!

However after the ultra sound we were told that it appeared that although this little baby is healthy and moving all over, my body appeared like I might allow this wee one to enter the world way too early. Shocked. I wasn't feeling contractions, I wasn't having any of the other signs, but to be safe two + weeks of bedrest were ordered. I cried once we made it to the car - I couldn't believe it. I was finally starting to feel better, less throwing up and now on the couch for the next however long. Friends and Family, immediately stepped up to plan dates with me on the couch and prayed.
We went and saw the specialist on Tuesday, who said everything looked "pretty" and just right. What a roller coaster of emotions! Now I was disappointed to have to go back to work. ;) I did enjoy an extra day off with my cousin and sister since the dr. was slow on getting my note to be able to return.
So we're praising God for healthy baby and that's there's plenty of time for more "cooking."

We have our big ultra sound this week. We're still considering and comprimising about finding out the gender.
I've made it 5 days with no throwing up!!

We're looking forward to meeting this little one!

christmas cookies...

So we had a sweet day with a couple of our neices.  It was a day to be together and be creative. :)

J found it hilarious that when Uncle Dave poured out the black frosting she thoguht it looked like poop. Then eating the "poop" frosting was even more hilarious.

This girl struggled to stay awake all day as she was coming down with a cold, it was pretty sweet.
