Trying to take a picture with the children at Beautiful Gate, they didn't really want to sit, they would rather play but who came blame them. This was taken last week. Pamela and my last day together, we had volunteered together pretty much since the beginning of my time here. She is from Germany, really fun to get to know. She went to Kruger with us, so we had lots of fun conversations about differences in cultures. She has had many people ask her about the autobann in germany - she says you can't really go 300k/h on it, but then again most cars won't go that fast. One favorite thing about her was that when she would anwser no to a question, she would say "nopes." It also made me laugh when she didn't know an English word for something, she would use the German word hoping they might be close enough... they were never close. I introduced PB and J sandwiches to her - she had vnever had one before. She also had Chicken enchilada casserole with us for the first time. She's now traveling through South Africa with a friend of her's for the next couple of week, to then volunteer in Cape Town for a couple of months. She's cool like that.
I was sad to see Pam go, but another girl came this week to volunteer, she's from Australia, it's nice to have someone else to be with for my last couple of weeks here.
