It was Annette's birthday a couple weeks ago, it was so much fun to go and be there for her birthday party! I love sitting back and watching families interact! Watching the conversations from across the table, questions that never get answered, stories that don't get finished, babies covered in food, jokes that only the family knows... this birthday dinner reminded me of "While you were Sleeping" - how that family interacts and you just can't help but laugh at the chaos surrounding a dinner table.
But one of my favorite parts of that evening was Lana - she just had her 3rd birthday in June so she is very practiced on what you do with birthday candles. But Lana sweetly sang " Happy Birthday" to her Grammie at least 4-5 times! It was adorable! When Lana says her good night prayers each night, she still thanks Jesus for her dinosaur birthday cake, or her birthday.
